The trip which I really felt so refreshing and awesome lately... Lake Michigan is just so beautiful with gentle tides... The sand dunes... The harbour... The downtown of South Haven... :)
We started our morning for a long drive from Dearborn to South Haven with a yummy Subway sandwich... :) Winds were friendly... Climate was very very pleasant... Perfect for a drive :) .. We stopped half way to grab some hot coffee... And by noon, we reached Martha's vineyard, A bed & breakfast place... It was so pleasant.. With birches and lawns... Ponds.. Also a golf course... :)
Our suite was ethnic.. like the 1960's style... You know.. High bed... Patio... Fireplace... So good to spend winter vacations... Ofcourse its pricy 200$ but it was worth it... Their breakfast, brownies... And their own wine... Everything was just so classy n great!
We rested for a while.. walked around the mansion... And then set out to downtown... Their famous delicacy is Broasted chicken.. Which means... Broiled cum Roasted... Which was very good to eat... It doesnt feel heavy either... And then we went to Clamantine... An ethnic Restaurant cum bar... Had Mexican Nachos with Quassadilla... Yummy...!
Then we went on a two mile walk towards the light house of lake michigan and i must say... It was so energizing... So good... The winds were so pleasant... Yet strong... We dint feel like having dinner because it was so good to walk around and see places... By late evening, it started raining heavily... we drove back to our suite... Slept watching "I am Sam"...
Next morning, we had a yummy breakfast, vacated the suite... and set out to Downtown Holland... OMG... This place is already all set... For Christmas!! The street lamps, avenues, lawns, shops are all decorated... so elegantly... I could hear the church chimes at a distance as it was sunday... a very beautiful day! Winds were rather freezing so we had hot soup there at a restaurant... walked around till noon... Had pizza for lunch... And drove back home...
All in all... The trip was totally worth it!!! Before we leave michigan...We definitely needed this!!! :)
